Some fella called Niall Mackenzie blundered into our feature with tales of – not replicas – but real machines.
He says: “The Cadbury’s Boost Bike was my bonus for winning the 1998 British Superbike title, and I also bought my 1991 Gauloise YZR from Yamaha France, which I’ve recently sold.
“You can’t beat a replica. I even recently made a replica of the replica of my old Pro-Am Yamaha, albeit in 250cc form.”
