This is my 1973 Honda CB350 twin which I have restored from a rather rusty and sad looking barn-find on the south coast to back to ‘as brand-new’ and running great.Paul Robb
As a youth this was my first ‘big boys’ bike’ and cost £355 new.
So on retirement with no mechanical skills whatsoever, I set out to find one and lo-and-behold 20 miles away was this sad wreck under a tarpaulin and after a bit of bartering and £700 later it was mine. It was a complete rebuild stripped down to the last nut and bolt and no expense spared on the total rebuild.Eleven months later it started up second press of the button: rebuild complete!
It’s now used daily and I’m looking for a new project: actually, I’ve just got a 1976 ST70 to rebuild!Enjoy more Classic Motorcycle Mechanics reading in the monthly magazine. Click here to subscribe.
