Ultimate Streetbike series remembered!

This was the 30th anniversary bash for the Ultimate Streetbike series and it took part at North Weald, Essex during July. At the event there were bikes and faces from the past all still keen to hit the quarter-mile strip. The original series was a massive hit in the 1980s and although it morphed in later years in to the Straightliners series for many this is the original and still the best.

The event’s organiser was Tony Huck from Maitland racing, his annual Bikefest event doubled up this year into a nostalgic sprint down memory lane. Even our Pip Higham was there pleasing the impressive crowds.

Quite a few of the bikes crept into the low 10 second bracket, not bad for classic road bikes.
