The music and car scene of the 1960s will rock and roll into the halls of the Royal Bath & West for the first of 2015’s trio of Bristol Classic Car Events…

The Footman James Great Western Autojumble will celebrate the Mods and Rockers years on February 14-15, filling the halls with live music, alongside hundreds of traders, clubs and a vast array of stunning and rare vehicles on display.

Event organiser Harry Leyland said: “The owners clubs are sure to embrace the Mods and Rockers element and I fully expect to see some outstanding displays.

“I’ve already been given a glimpse into the plans of the Volvo Enthusiast Club, which is creating a special rock ’n’ roll drive-in for the occasion and I’m sure visitors are going to love it.”

Also putting on a display will be the Reliant Owners Club, which is planning to showcase four Reliants from different eras.
These are just some of the plans being put into action by the event’s new owner, Mortons Media Group, which is hoping to develop the February show into a landmark weekend in the classic car event calendar.

As well as adding the excitement of rock ’n’ roll to the proceedings, Mortons is opening a larger hall for the show to accommodate even more traders and clubs with bookings already confirmed to fill the extra space.

A classic motor auction by Dorset-based Charterhouse – a popular and regular part of the Bristol Classic Car Events – will also be taking place. Showgoers attending on Saturday are welcome to browse through the lots waiting to go under the hammer, with entry to the Sunday sale being by catalogue only.

Harry added: “Our aim is to grow the Great Western Autojumble, along with the June and November events, and we’ve got some great plans for all three over the coming year.”
