200 Miglia di Imola Revival
By: Ben Wilkins
The second edition of what is already the biggest Italian meeting for classic race bikes will take place from September 30 to October 2.
Phil Read will return to the place where he used to shine – let’s not forget he took his Norton to a fourth place during the first edition of the 200 Miles. And when we talk about Read, we must also talk about Agostini...
Steve Baker will accompany Don Emde in his overseas adventure. Christian Sarron, Hubert Rigal, Philippe Coulon, Gianfranco Bonera will be there too. The organisers are not yet sure if Paul Smart will be present but you will get to see Bruno Spaggiari in action, aboard the same Ducati on which Smart achieved his second podium place.
On top of the parades and the runs for the Gentlemen Riders, the 200 Miglia di Imola Revival will also offer many other activities, such as the magnificent exhibition set up for the 50th anniversary of Yamaha in racing.
To keep you entertained away from the track fun there wil be souvenir shops, a pits walk, a trade area and more.
This second event sounds like something of a must for classic race fans. If you want to ride then you must get your applications in quickly. See www.200miglia.com for more information on the event, tickets and entry forms.
