MOTORCYCLE PAINTWORK

DREAM MACHINE
Tel: 0115 973 6615
Email: dream_machine@compuserve.com
www.dream-machine.co.uk
TOP TIP: If your tank is leaking send it to Dream Machine for proper refurbishment and paintwork; this means, unlike using some tank sealant, if your tank is dented or damaged again in the future it can be re-repaired.

TWO-STROKE SPECIALIST

HVC CYCLE
Tel: (00)1-402-817-4795
Email: hvccycle@hvccycle.com
TOP TIP: Use a good quality dial indicator gauge to set where the ignition points begin to open. After this is adjusted then set your points gap. Points not only wear at the contacts but also where they ride on the points cam. Upgrade to an Autocar-Newtronics ignition set and forget. You will never need to mess with the points again.

WHEELBUILDING

ESSEX WHEELS
Tel: 07887 533118
Email:
info@essexwheelsandeng.com
TOP TIP: Checking your wheels for damage on a regular basis is crucial to prevent failure or breakages; spin the wheel in the bike to check for any buckles or dents and run a small bar around the spokes listening for any dull sounds. If you notice anything wrong, contact Essex Wheels immediately before the problem gets any worse.

MOTORCYCLE LIFTS

S A L EASY LIFTS
Tel: 01697 349295
Email: barry@saluk.info
www.saluk.info
TOP TIP: Using a proper motorcycle lift is a safer and more secure method for working on your motorcycle than most alternatives. S A L supply a wide selection of lifts to fit most motorcycles, so order yours today for peace of mind and a safe working environment.

DECALS

SUNRISE GRAPHICS
Tel: 01253 711862
www.sunrisegraphics.co.uk
TOP TIP: Before stripping the machine for restoration check that the Graphics & Labels are still available. Your model might not be the most popular one! Sadly some restorers destroy the Graphics & Labels before checking their availability & this can lead to great disappointment as they reach the last stages of their restoration.

TYRES

TYRE FINDER
Tel: 08452 301966
Email: info@tyre-finder.co.uk
www.tyre-finder.co.uk
TOP TIP: Always use copious amounts of French chalk to assemble inner tubes and tyres correctly.

STAINLESS STEEL

PHIL DENTON
Tel: 01492 641345
Email:
info@phildentonengineering.com
www.phildentonengineering.com
TOP TIP: It is absolutely essential to lubricate threads when using stainless steel nuts and bolts as dry contact may cause them to bind up. Use a light dab of waterproof, good quality grease such as Silkolene RG2 on the threads prior to assembly.

MOTORCYCLE OIL

MORRIS LUBRICANTS
Tel: 01743 232200
www.morrislubricants.co.uk
TOP TIP: Try not to over apply chain spray. Excessive product will fly off and create sticky deposits underneath the bike and too much left on the chain can hold abrasive dust and grit. A little and often is the best approach.

CARBS

CC’S CLEAN CARBS
Tel: 05602 051339
Email: info@cleancarbs.com
www.carbcleaning.com
TOP TIP: When storing your bike, remember to drain the fuel, not only from the tank but from the carbs aswell, otherwise next time you come to use it the fuel will have evaporated, leaving a residue blocking the jets and passage ways.
Then you will need to contact CC’s
Clean Carbs for help.
